· Dinobot User Manual Part 21:Updating the remote control firmware

Note that the text color and the orange color are important parts of the content setting.

Part 21 explains how to update the remote controller firmware.
Unfortunately, the remote controller firmware update is only available for U5Mini products.
U5Mini remote control operation method is IR + BT (Bluetooth) method is provided.
The basic mode is IR mode and operates in the same way as a normal TV remote control and can be used in Bluetooth mode through the Bluetooth pairing process.
The IR method is affected by the receiving angle.
If you look at the front of the unit and use the remote control, it will work normally. But if you operate from the left or right side, the operation may not work properly.
In order to solve this problem, it is made to be able to use it by Bluetooth method.
Bluetooth can be used to send music wirelessly, to use devices such as mouse and keyboard, and to transfer files.
It is possible to update the firmware of the remote control by using the function of transferring the file of Bluetooth.
Remote controller firmware update will improve the performance of remote control operation, so please update firmware of remote controller.

Launch the App Manager.

Launch the 'ATV Air Remote' app in the app list.

The remote controller firmware update app launches.

Press the 'Scan' button.

The firmware version applied to the remote controller is displayed.
The latest firmware version of the remote controller is version 2.4 based on the manual writing date.
If the firmware applied to the remote controller is 2.4 version or less, you need to update the firmware.
If there is any additional update of the remote controller after version 2.4, I will notify the blog separately.

The OTA Update window will open and the update will proceed.

If the progress is 100%, the firmware update is complete.

Press the remote control controller Bluetooth pairing button(Remote controller gear shape icon for 5 seconds ~) and press 'OK' button.

The Bluetooth connection window will open and 'U5 Air remote 2.4' will be displayed.

After 2.4, the number is changed according to the firmware version.

Press the 'OK' button on the remote control to proceed with pairing.

The message 'Pairing ...' is displayed and the pairing process is in progress.

If the message 'Paired' appears, you are finished.
