Hi.

Welcome to DinoBot Supporters blog.

The DinoBot User Manual is an integrated manual for those who use DinoBot products. (U5PVR / U5Mini / 4K)

It is the most basic manual for using Dinobot products and explains all the functions of the product.

Please read this manual as it will help you to use the product.

This is based on the U5 product, but the way it works is the same.

Note that the text color and the orange color are important parts of the content setting.



In Part 10, you will learn how to set up environment for using LIVE TV & IPTV.


To use LIVE TV & IPTV, you need to make basic settings.
LIVE TV and IPTV are overlapping settings, so I will explain with one manual.


Run the app on LiveTV for setup.

U5 OTT users run IPTV apps.



Click 'Setup - Preferences'.



The 'Configuration' setting is for the ATSC tuner and the basic AV output.



The 'Tuner 1-ATSC' setting is for the ATSC tuner.



The "Search method" setting is selected by automatic search.



'Broadcast input method' should be set according to TV reception method.


Terrestrial free receivers HDTV reception antennas should be set to 'terrestrial' and those who connect RF coaxial cable provided by pay-per-view cable broadcasting service should be set to 'cable'.


If you set it differently from the receiving method you want to connect, the channel search will not work.



For 'Country' setting, select 'Korea'.



There are a number of options depending on the country setting.



'Channel table' setting is set to 'Standard' as EPG receiving method.

Once you've set up a 'free / paid' channel, press the 'red' button on your remote.


Press 'OK' to start channel search.



Your channel search will depend on your location and the number of channels you receive and may take more than 10 minutes.



If "Search Complete" appears, your channel search is complete.


Press 'EXIT' button on remote control to finalize channel search.



You do not need to set the 'Language' setting separately.



The 'Time' setting does not have the same option in the ATV setting.



The 'A / V Output' setting is for the screen output.



The 'HDOUT resolution' setting is not set because the screen resolution setting has the same option as the ATV setting.


'Screen size adjustment' is a setting related to the screen margin. It is not set because there is the same option in ATV setting.



'Color' setting allows user to express desired color.



If you do not know this part, you can touch the screen if you touch it.



The 'Aspect Ratio' setting allows you to set the TV screen output ratio.

The 'HDOUT HDCP mode' setting does not have the same option for ATV setting.



The 'Network' setting does not have the same option in the ATV settings.



The 'Other' setting is a setting related to additional functions related to TV reception.



The 'OSD' setting is for the windows that pop up on the TV screen.



The 'Help Box' and 'EPG Help' settings should be used to 'show' so that you do not miss out on your use.

You can set the transparency of the windows displayed on the TV screen through the 'Channel information box transparency' setting.


The higher the number, the more transparent.



You can set it to be used after inputting the password in the important menu through 'access control' setting.


If you have young children at home, you can disable them at will.



When entering for the first time, you must enter the 4 digits 'password' in the 'Access Control' window.


The initial password is '0000'.



You can change your password by pressing 'Password'.



The 'Change PIN Code' window will appear with the error 'Google Korean Input Device'.

This is the part that conflicts with Google's own Hangul input device.

If you press 'EXIT' button, input password can be set.



Enter '0000' in the 'Current' field and the new 4-digit password in the 'New' and 'Verify' fields.

You must enter the same password for both new and confirmation.



The "Adult Program Verification" setting is a feature only available in Europe.



Locked settings can be locked to prevent access to each menu.

You can set it to 'Locked'.



The 'CCcam Data Recovery' setting is a feature only available in Europe.



The 'PVR' setting is for 'Time Shift' and 'PVR'.


The time shift function can be used after connecting the external storage device.



If 'Time-shift guide' is activated, you can specify whether to use 'Time-shift' function.



You can specify 'Time Shift' file and snapshot image storage device through 'Time-shift / Snapshot Storage Medium' setting.


You can choose between 'USB storage device or micro SD card'.



You can set the 'time shift' maximum operation time through 'Time-shift operation time' setting.

'Unlimited' is unlimited.



You can set the file size to be saved as 'time shift' through 'Time-shift file size' setting.



You can specify the EPG behavior by setting 'EPG behavior method'.



If you enable the 'Record in channel folder' setting, you can create a folder for each channel name and save the file.



The 'File Play' setting is a file playback setting.


It is applied only when 'File Manager' app in LIVE TV run menu is run.



The 'Playback position' setting determines whether you want to watch from the previous position or from the beginning.



If you enable the 'Automatically play next file' setting, the next movie will be played automatically if there are multiple videos in the same folder.



The 'File filter' setting is a feature that shows only specific files in the 'File Manager' app.


This function shows only selected files from 'Movie, Music, Photo' in folder.



You can skip forward or backward the video for a set amount of time by setting the "skip forward" and "skip backward" times through the "Move key" setting.



You can set 'Power Mode' and 'Launcher' function through 'Others' setting.



You can set whether to operate when the power button is pressed through 'Power Mode' setting.


- Standby: Standby power. In power standby mode, the time is displayed on the U5 LCD screen, and the TV screen can be quickly re-launched to operate the power button next time with only the screen being turned off for a while.


- PowerSave: Power off state. When the power is turned off, the U5's LCD screen is blank and responds by rebooting to the next power button operation, leaving only the minimum amount of power available to respond to remote control activity.


* If you do not use PowerSave for a long time, please turn off the power completely by pressing the power button on the back of the main body.


* With regard to the power source, pressing the power button of the remote control once will double-click the power standby state to operate the power shutdown state.



If you enable the 'Use broadcast time' setting, you can set the time based on broadcasting.



The 'Use Linux' setting is a setting related to the use of Linux.



If you enable the 'Apply Live TV to home on boot' setting, Live TV will launch automatically when U5 boots up.



'Mac serial number setting' is not set because the Mac serial number is set automatically.



You can configure external EPG and IPTV M3U file through 'IPTV' setting.



If you enable 'Use external EPG', you can use external EPG based on xmltv or xml.



If you press 'EPG URL', you can input the address of web page that can receive external EPG data.

Press 'Load EPG' to load the EPG data.



Press 'OK' to load external EPG data.



If the EPG data can not be loaded, the 'Warning' window will be displayed.



When you enter the 'IPTV' setting, you can enter the address of a web page that can receive IPTV.

If IPTV reception data can not be retrieved, 'Notification' window will be displayed.



DRM 'setting to enable DRM status check.



You can backup and recover channel data through 'System' setting.



'Firmware' setting is for firmware upgrade and backup, it is not set because there is the same option in ATV setting.

If you press 'Channel data backup', channel data backup is possible.


Channel data can be backed up to a USB storage device.


Backing up your channel data allows you to quickly recover your previously viewed channels without having to search for channels after the device has been initialized.




When you select a USB storage device to back up channel data



Perform channel data backup.



If it says 'success', the channel data is backed up properly.



You can restore channel data by pressing 'Channel Data Recovery'.

Channel data and EPG data can be initialized through 'Initialization' setting.



If you click 'Channel data initialization' setting, you can initialize channel data.



Press 'OK' to initialize the channel data. When the channel data is initialized, the recording function will be stopped.



Press the 'myiptv channel initialization' setting to initialize the IPTV channel.



Press 'OK' to delete all IPTV channels.



EPG data initialization is possible by pressing the 'EPG data initialization' setting.



Press 'OK' to initialize the EPG data. When EPG data is initialized, the recording function will stop.



If you click 'Timer initialization' setting, recording setup data can be initialized.



If you press 'OK', you can initialize the recording setup data, and when recording setup data is initialized, the recording function will be stopped.



Click on the 'Restore Channel Group' setting to recover the channel group.



Click OK to repair the channel group.



The 'Factory Reset' setting is not set because it has the same options as the ATV settings.
